
MYDRONE - MIDDLE YEAR DRONE PROGAM
Explore the exciting world of drones with our interactive program! Students delve into some career paths involving drones, from photography to agriculture, while also gaining hands-on experience. They’ll construct their own drone, master basic piloting skills, and navigate through custom-built obstacle courses. With the opportunity to capture a 3D image of their school and even take flight outdoors (weather permitting), this immersive experience offers a dynamic blend of education and exhilaration.

What is it?
Discover the world of drones with our interactive MYDrone (Middle Years Drone Program)! Students explore various drone-related careers, from photography to agriculture, while gaining hands-on experience. They'll build drones, learn basic piloting skills, and tackle obstacle courses. Weather permitting, outdoor flights and 3D school imaging add to the excitement, offering a dynamic educational experience.
Who is it for?
The program has been designed for youth, ages 8-13, however, camp adaptations can be made for younger age brackets. This program is typically run with multiple classes in a school (up to 120 students per program) over a period of 2-4 days (depending on # of classes).
Highlight Includes:
3D Mapping
Students will take part in outdoor drone piloting, learning the basics of photogrammetry and helping to create a scalable, 3D image of their school.
Building a Drone from Scratch
After learning the fundamentals of how a drone works, students will get a chance to build a drone
from scratch and fly it through an obstacle course.
Indoor and Outdoor Drone Piloting
With professional certified supervision, students will be able to experience what it’s like to fly state of the art drones, as well as indoor racing drones.
